There are five levels of staff here on Tempest. The following is a list of each level, a general description of responsibilities, and a general idea of what they can or cannot approve. All staff members, with the exception of Newbie Helpers, can be easily told apart from other online characters by their name. All staff names will be in the format of Mr./Ms. <A color>. (See also +staff and +staff/all)
Wizard Council: Consists of all the Wizards of the game. Through a consensus all decisions are made and relegated.
Wizard: Wizards are the members of staff that are given the majority of the administration responsibilities. Each wizard is responsible for directing and overseeing the operation of a particular sphere or area of the MUX. They have the authority to approve characters within their sphere of chargen level, plus up to fifty freebies of additional dots. In addition, staff of the Wizard level make up the Wizard council, which will often vote on matters of MUX policy placed before it.
Admin: Admins are staff members chosen to deal with the every day details of their area. They are responsible for the actual execution of the direction given to them by their sphere wizard. They have the power to approve characters in their area of stock chargen level for roleplay.
Staff: Staff are members that are not under any specific sphere, such as Storytellers. They will primarily be given the authority to arbitrate specific scenes, as well as run TinyPlots under the direction of the TP wizard.
Newbie Helpers: Newbie Helpers are not official staff members, but instead are players that are knowledgeable about MUX in general, and the policies and code of this particular MUX. These Helpers have offered their assistance to help out anyone that may have a question. You may see a list of online Newbie Helpers by typing +helpers. Feel free to page them if you have a question, and they should be able to either answer it or direct you to someone that can.
