Whatever was done to the city of New Haven, whatever trick it was that was pulled, the Nuwisha want to know it. They *have* to know the trick.
Ever wary of being detected, only a few Nuwisha have come to investigate the cloud over New Haven that can suppress even Gaia's given gifts. They seek not a weapon or a means of control but a way to use it as a powerful tool to teach some tightwad ooh look at me I'm so powerful fool a lesson. Never fools themselves, the Nuwisha know that the No Power Zone in the middle of New Haven has brought other races seeking the secret to the power, but lacking the wisdom, the skill or just the refined sense of style that would allow them to use it as they feel it should be used. And, where the Shifting Breeds go, there too goes trouble.
And some of those kids could *really* use a spanking...
