NPCs

There are two types of NPCs that exist on this MUX.

Staff NPCs: These NPCs will be created and played by staff for the express purpose of a plot. They will always be statted, with the stats posted on a board where all staff can view them, before they hit the grid. Expendable PCs intended to be killed or retired after one or two scenes will have simple stats, usually just their combat pools, damage, and any other important pools. Long term NPCs will have complete character sheets. Staff do not allow NPCs on the grid who are not tied to plots; there will be no super-powerful NPCs running around unchecked, with no specific purpose in mind. In addition, all staff have a say in the behavior of staff NPCs, as they are not player characters.

Player NPCs: We have an NPC system that allows players to create and play an NPC that lasts for the time of a single login. These NPCs have low pre-set stats, and are there for those who might want to check out the game before they're approved, or play in scenes where their characters wouldn't normally go. These NPCs are one use only sorts of things, and shouldn't be involved in anything long-term; if you get really attached to your NPC, you can always app them as a mortal character. Please see +help NPC for more information on how the NPC code works.
