Experience points are gained in one of three different ways.
1) Spending time online and roleplaying. You will receive more experience when you are in a public area than in a private area. Also, you will garner experience points at twice the normal rate if a player with the 'NEW' flag is present.
2) Receiving a vote from another character. To promote players finding a broad base of RP, votes are worth less each successive time that a player votes for you. Further, any vote from a character with the 'NEW' flag is worth three times the normal amount.
3) Awarded by staff for exceptional play.
In order to spend the experience points (XP) that you have accumulated, you should review XP Spend Requests and the specific sphere files for specific sphere guidelines. Please note that you can only work towards buying one thing at a time. However you can send in more than one XP spend request, it will just be put in line after the other requests you have sent in.
